The Team - Biography
Daniel J. DeWitt, Ph.D.

Dan DeWitt is a licensed psychologist with more than 30 years of experience providing assessments and coaching to executives in start-ups to Fortune 50 companies. He also has been the founder of DeWitt Psychological Services, a clinical psychology consulting firm, and the DeWitt Group, an assessment, selection, management and organizational development firm.

Dr. DeWitt blends clinical and organizational psychology to serve as the interface between individuals and organizations. He takes a practical, bottom-line approach that focuses on increasing individual effectiveness to increase corporate results. He is a widely recognized expert in how technology impacts corporate culture, teamwork and communication. He has developed an innovative assessment process that considers an executives interests and skills along with a company's needs and culture to identify a best fit for both.

Early in Dr. DeWitt's career he worked extensively with early stage technology firms through CAD/CAM Specialists, Inc., an executive recruiting and human resource firm, as he helped them identify and develop their human capital. He has served on the boards of public and private companies.

He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University, an M.A. in pre-clinical psychology from Ball State University, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with an emphasis in organizational psychology from Purdue University.

He is a frequent speaker at seminars and training events, such as Dataquest, Daratech, the University of Tennessee and the Young President's Organization. He writes on topics related to an executive's career and organizational selection. An article for The Deal magazine regarding assessing executives for PE firms titled "The Right Stuff".
