Hugh Shields is a Founding Principal with Shields Meneley Partners. He and his Partner, Gail R. Meneley, have worked with hundreds of top executives from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies, including Allstate, Anheuser Busch, Anthem Health, Bank One, Bristol Meyers, CNA, DaimlerChrysler, Fleming, Fort James, Galileo, GE, Heller Financial, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald's, Motorola, Quaker, R.R. Donnelley, and Sears.

Shields has extensive P&L, strategy development, and leadership experience in a variety of industries including professional services, specialty chemicals, electronics and controls, and electrical products. He drove the P&L for Valspar Corporation’s multi-plant Federal International Chemicals Division and served as President and General Manager of Comtech, Ltd., a start-up electronics company.

He spent most of his career at Emerson Electric Company holding positions of increasing responsibility in the $250 million Wiegand "Chromalox" Division and as General Manager for the Heat Tracing Systems Division. He began his career at Sunbeam Corporation as the National Sales Manager for the Schaefer Division.
